January 1998   The Mongolian Hymnbooks  --Nancy             This past week I undertook a project that gave me a greater appreciation for the efforts of the early missionaries and others who were involved in translating some of our hymns into Mongolian and compiling them into a small hymnbook. The hymnbook we use has 27 hymns in it, including Christmas carols and several Primary songs. It was photocopied on the mission office copy machine and, from what I’ve been told, the machine has never been the same since. (page 193)   <<< back    next >>>
